Rosary Boys Zoriwaddo Davorlim stormed into the final of the 19th Rebello Pandal All Goa Football Tournament after edging past Wembley Boys Fatorda 7“6 via a dramatic penalty shootout in the second semifinal held at St. Rita Church ground, Maina-Curtorim, on Wednesday.

The match ended in an exciting 2“2 draw at full time. Jordan scored both goals for Wembley Boys Fatorda, while Arean and Alfred found the net for Rosary Boys Zoriwaddo Davorlim.

With neither side able to break the deadlock, the contest was decided through a penalty shootout. Rosary Boys held their nerve as Arean, Alfred, Richie, Reanzil and Figueredo converted their spot-kicks. For Wembley Boys, Sidney, Stallen, Aeron and Jordan were on target, but it wasn’t enough to prevent defeat.

Rosary Boys Zoriwaddo Davorlim will now face Town Boys Sanguem in the final, scheduled for April 12, at 5 pm.

Despite ending on the losing side, Francisco Colaco of Wembley Boys Fatorda was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by Salvador Dias.
