The Crime Branch (CB) sleuths arrested two persons, including a suspected supplier, in a raid along the coastal belt that led to the seizure of over 1.5 kg of ganja.

As per information shared by CB SP Rahul Gupta, the team, acting on specific intelligence, conducted an early morning raid on March 14 at a rented room in Anjuna, and recovered 1.5 kg of ganja valued at Rs 1.4 lakh from the possession of one Loknath Haldar (21), a native of West Bengal presently residing in Bardez.

A case was registered and he was produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Mapusa, which remanded him to seven days of police custody.

Das was subsequently produced before the JMFC, Mapusa, and remanded to five days of police custody.
