MLT CC and Sinq Rangers secure wins

MLT Cricket Club and Sinq Rangers emerged winners on Day 5 of the Sarsangan Priority Super Series Cricket 2026 at Arlem Cricket Ground, with MLT registering a commanding 7-wicket win over FPA Maxvolt XI and Sinq Rangers edging Progressive Ponda by 3 wickets in a closely fought contest.

In the opening match, MLT Cricket Club, owned by Rahul Dhond, secured their first win of the tournament in style. Batting first, FPA Maxvolt XI posted a competitive 177/8 in 20 overs, thanks to solid contributions from Rakesh Mallya (32), Vishwesh Kamat (34) and Goa player Kaushal Hattangadi (34). Raghuvir Gharse led the bowling effort for MLT with figures of 2/20, while Gaurav Gaitonde, Rajat Dalal, Akshay Dalvi and Amogh Agshikar picked up a wicket each.

In reply, MLT chased down the target comfortably, reaching 178/3 in just 15.2 overs to also claim a bonus point. Skipper Sachin Sardesai (35), Nityay Shenvi Kuncolienkar (38) and Gaurav Gaitonde (30 not out) anchored the innings with composed performances. For FPA Maxvolt XI, Saish Hegde, Nikit Naik Dalal and Tushar Nagarsenkar took a wicket apiece. Nityay Shenvi Kuncolienkar was named Man of the Match, while Sachin Sardesai (Best Batter), Raghuvir Gharse (Best Bowler), Gaurav Gaitonde (Super Striker) and Vishwesh Kamat (Impact Player) were among the other award winners.

The second match witnessed a thrilling finish as Sinq Rangers edged past Progressive Ponda by 3 wickets. Batting first, Progressive Ponda were bowled out for 144, with Sarin Pai Kane (37), Aaheesh Prabhugaonkar (26) and Pratham Kossambe (23) contributing valuable runs. Yogesh Dalal starred with the ball for Sinq Rangers, claiming 3/24, while Shaunit Sawardekar supported well with 2/17. Granthik Buyao, Sairaj Dhond and Sukrut Pai also chipped in with a wicket each.

Chasing 145, Sinq Rangers reached the target at 147/7 in 16.1 overs. Aditya Dalal (34) and Granthik Buyao (36) played key roles in guiding the chase. Despite an impressive spell of 4/15 by Aaheesh Prabhugaonkar for Progressive Ponda, along with wickets from Vibhav Pai, Sarin Pai Kane and Gomakant Mahambrey, the effort fell just short.

Aaheesh Aditya Prabhugaonkar was named Man of the Match for his all-round performance. Other award winners included Sarin Pai Kane (Best Batter), Yogesh Dalal (Best Bowler), Aditya Dalal (Super Striker) and Granthik Buyao (Impact Player).
