MLT Cricket Club hammer Avengers; SinQ Rangers win thriller

MLT Cricket Club registered a dominant win, while SinQ Rangers pulled off a thrilling last-over chase in two contrasting encounters on the sixth day of the Sarsangan Priority Super Series Cricket 2026 at Arlem Cricket Ground.

MLT Cricket Club, owned by Rahul Dhond, continued their strong form with a convincing 106-run victory over DnM Avengers, marking their second win of the tournament. Batting first, MLT posted a formidable 214/6 in 20 overs”the highest total of the Super Series so far. Contributions came from across the batting line-up, with Sarvesh Kamat (36), Sachin Sardesai (38), Siddesh Sinai Amonkar (24), Amogh Agshikar (21) and Gaurav Gaitonde (21) all chipping in.

For DnM Avengers, Siddhesh Prabhu Alvenkar was the pick of the bowlers with 2/21, while Tanay Kelekar, Gururaj Bale, Smit Dalvi and Siddhesh Bodke claimed one wicket each.

In reply, DnM Avengers faltered under pressure and were bowled out for 108 in 13.5 overs. Siddhesh Bodke (36), Siddhesh Prabhu Alvenkar (33) and Smit Dalvi (20) were the only notable contributors. Vaibhav Kadkade (2/15) and Sarvesh Kamat (2/25) led the bowling effort for MLT, with Rajat Dalal and Mihit Gaitonde taking a wicket apiece.

Sarvesh Haridas Kamat was named Man of the Match for his all-round performance.

The second match of the day saw SinQ Rangers edge past FPA Maxvolt XI by three wickets in a tense last-over finish. Batting first, FPA Maxvolt XI posted 171/4 in their 20 overs, with Damodar Pai Patnekar (32), Sandeep Thali (36), Shiraj Pai Khot (22 not out) and Saish Hegde (22 not out) leading the scoring.

Shaunit Sawardekar impressed with the ball for SinQ Rangers, returning figures of 2/16, while Yogesh Dalal and Granthik Buyao chipped in with a wicket each.

Chasing 171, SinQ Rangers reached 83/3 at the halfway mark, thanks to Megh Netravalkar (26) and Sukrut Pai (30). However, the game took a dramatic turn with skipper Sairaj Dhond’s run-out followed by a hat-trick from Damodar Pai Patnekar, reducing them to 127/7.

Needing 45 runs off 31 balls, Sahil Adwalpalkar played a composed knock of 37 off 28 balls, supported by Dinraj Pai Khot and Yogesh Dalal, to guide SinQ Rangers to victory. They reached 173/7 in 19.5 overs, sealing the win with just one ball remaining.

Sahil Adwalpalkar was named Man of the Match for his match-winning innings.
