Fr Agnel College, Agnel Institute secure convincing win

Fr Agnel College of Arts & Commerce, Pilar and Agnel Institute of Technology & Design, Assagao registered convincing wins on the fourth day of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Men’s Championship 2025-26 at the Goa University cricket ground.

Fr. Agnel College defeated Goa College of Physiotherapy, Naturopathy and Yogic Science by 96 runs, while Agnel Institute of Technology & Design beat Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering & Information Technology, Shiroda by 68 runs.

The first match of the day saw Fr. Agnel College post 201/8 in their 20 overs after being sent in to bat. Anuj Bhikoji led the scoring with 48 off 29 balls, supported by Ugam, who contributed 40 runs from 46 balls. Goa College struggled to chase the target and managed 105/7 in their allotted overs. Atharv More was the pick of the bowlers with 3/15, while Anuj Bhikoji also chipped in with 2/28. Best Batter: Anuj Bhikoji (Fr. Agnel College) Best Bowler: Atharv More (Fr. Agnel College)

In the second match, Agnel Institute of Technology & Design scored 183/9 in 20 overs, with Yash top-scoring with 66 off 40 balls and Aditya Mathkar adding 38 runs. Shree Rayeshwar Institute was bowled out for 115 in 17.1 overs, as Rahul Rathod took 4 wickets for 27 runs and Ubaid Baba claimed 2 wickets for 23. Yash and Rahul Rathod were named best batter and bowler of the match, respectively.
