Candolim Sports Club and Youth Club of Manora played out a hard-fought 1-1 draw in their GFA First Division League clash at the Raia Panchayat Sports Ground on Friday.
Both teams displayed good ball movement and attacking intent in the opening half but failed to break the deadlock before the interval.
The match came to life late in the second half when Youth Club of Manora took the lead in the 83rd minute, with Bibhas Swara firing home a sharp snapshot to put his side ahead.
Candolim SC responded swiftly and restored parity just five minutes later, as Shallum Pires found the back of the net in the 88th minute.
Despite both sides pushing for a winner in the closing stages, neither could find the decisive goal, and the match ended with honours even, as both teams settled for a point each.
