The Bandodkar Panjim Gymkhana Tennis Open 2026 continued to witness competitive action, with players advancing into the semi-finals of the men’s open singles category following a series of quarter-final encounters in the state capital.

Siddharth Nunes delivered a dominant 6-0 win over Punit Fadte, while Akhil Shirwaikar registered a 6-2 victory against Cherian Joseph to move into the semi-finals. Rushil Anikar also progressed with a 6-1 win over Santosh.

In the mixed open doubles category, two pairs advanced into the semi-finals with convincing performances. Siddharth Nunes and Aishwarya Nunes defeated Neale Fernandes and Raisa Menezes 6-1, while Sreenath and Tanya Shelyazhynska-Caldeira cruised past Debayan Das and Tomoyo Fujita 6-0 in their respective quarter-final matches.

The boys under-12 singles category saw strong performances in the semi-finals, with Arsh Sardesai defeating Ivan Henriques 4-2, 4-1 to progress further. In another closely contested match, Christian Shawn Fernandes edged past Ethan Luis De Ataide 4-2, 0-4, 10-8.

In the girls under-18 singles category, Tithee Bhoomkar secured a 4-1, 4-1 win over Avni Lotlikar, while Tvisha Sardesai registered a convincing 4-1, 4-0 victory against Bhaavya Bhoomkar in their respective semi-final encounters.

Meanwhile, in the men’s open doubles category, Siddharth Nunes and Arup Angle recorded a comprehensive 6-0 win over Rihan Colaco and Shubert Colaco. Mano Chhabra and Neale Fernandes progressed after Sanjay Shinde and Tanmaie Shinde retired from their match. Shaurya Awasthi and Rushil Anikar defeated Ganesh Vernekar and Bhalchandra Gaitonde 6-2, while Rajaram Paiginkar and Kyan Mavany overcame James Stewart and Satya Stewart 7-5. Noel Noronha and Raju Kundaikar cruised past Harry Dhanoa and Taksh Parekh 6-0, and Prince Agnelo Joven De Silva and Nishad Shevde registered a 6-2 win over Rehaan Díaz and Prajat Halankar.

In the men’s 45+ doubles category, Anurag Agrawal and Jai Gill advanced to the next stage with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Mano Chhabra and Suraj Pombra in the semi-final.

In the ladies open singles category, Tanya recorded a 6-0 win over Nataliia Lazurenko, while Poojal Somu Naik defeated Tomoyo Fujita 6-3 in their respective matches.
