Urbanisation ruining Goan villages

A massive wave of urbanisation is ruining the character of quaint Goan villages. The North has been almost totally plundered and now the South is facing the axe.

Rampant illegal land conversions, arbitrary increases in FAR and the grant of construction licences to all and sundry in lieu of ‘grease money’, despite there being a masterplan in place, a corrupt panchayat and the unholy nexus between builders and politicians will ensure that our villages soon turn into concrete jungles, with the netas and developers laughing all the way to the bank.

Future generations will only be left with sepia memories of this once beautiful land called Goa. Sad in the extreme.
