I'm hoping that the TMC wins in Bengal even though Mamata has at times played footsie with the BJP, because the Congress and the CPM clearly don't stand a chance. The BJP coming to power there would spell disaster not just for Bengal but for India as well. For the first time Mamata has truly realised the evil the BJP embodies and is somewhat chastened by it. Going forward, all opposition parties including the TMC should realise that they need to put aside their differences, their egos, stitch a workable alliance and deal with issues of SIR disenfranchisement and votechori orchestrated by the the saffron head honchos, CEC and now sadly abetted by the Courts too. They should agitate and hit the streets too over issues that affect the common man and the security of the nation. This is a fight for India's future, for the Constitution and for an India we can all be proud of and want to live in.
