In West Bengal, Hindus reared cows, when their milch-life was over, the animal got converted to food, leather, gelatin and bone-meal. The food part of the conversion was consumed by Muslims. Now with the BJP coming to power, the same cow raksha scenario has spread to Bengal, resulting in Muslims boycotting beef for fear of being set upon by goons from VHP and Bajrang Dal. This has resulted in Hindus losing livelihoods, causing friction between the Hindu community dealing in cow life-cycle products and the government.
In yet another state, the BJP is on its way to causing economic loss and destruction of commerce. This disruption will now hit an entire chain of businesses, not only edible beef, rendering millions more jobless, pushing them below the poverty line and dependent on free rations from the mai-baap sarkar to stay alive.
