Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday attended the swearing-in ceremony of Himanta Biswa Sarma and extended his wishes to the newly inducted ministers and the Government of Assam.

Speaking on the occasion, Sawant said the sacred land of Srimanta Sankardeva and Veer Lachit Borphukan would continue progressing on the path of development, prosperity and inclusive growth.

He said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the “double engine government” in Assam led by Sarma would work towards transformational growth and contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Sawant also wished the new Assam government a successful tenure dedicated to public service and welfare.

Earlier this month, the Goa CM had attended the swearing-in ceremony of Suvendu Adhikari in West Bengal, describing it as the beginning of a “new era” for the state and noting it was the first time the BJP had formed a government there.
