Setting Boys, São José de Areal staged a strong comeback to defeat Tino Boys, Cuncolim 5“4 via the tiebreaker and book their place in the quarterfinals of the 19th Rebello Pandal All-Goa Football Tournament at St. Rita Church Ground, Maina, Curtorim on Wednesday.

Both teams were locked 1“1 at the end of regulation time. Nigel put Tino Boys ahead in the first session of play, but Setting Boys restored parity in injury time through Bresal Viegas, forcing the match into a tiebreaker.

In the shootout that followed, Setting Boys proved more accurate from the spot to clinch a 5“4 victory and advance to the next round.

Despite the defeat, Deva, goalkeeper of Tino Boys, was adjudged Man of the Match, with the award presented by Eddie Fernandes, football coach.
