Goa Cricket Association conducts Premier Division League 2025-26 auction

The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) successfully conducted the auction for the Goa Premier Division League 2025“26 at the GCA Hall in Porvorim on Tuesday.

Six competitive teams will vie for glory in the league: Panjim Gymkhana, Geno Sports Club, Salgaocar Cricket Club, Margao Cricket Club, Chowgule Sports Club, and Dempo Cricket Club.

Among the top players in the auction pool, Darshan Mishal emerged with the highest points tally of 32,500 points, representing Chowgule Sports Club, followed closely by Vikas Singh of Geno Sports Club with 32,000 points. Suyash Prabhudessai of Panjim Gymkhana secured the third position with 28,500 points.

Other notable players include Abhinav Tejrana of Dempo Cricket Club with 22,500 points and Deepraj Gaonkar of Margao Cricket Club with 19,500 points.

The Goa Premier Division League 2025“26 will be hosted by the Goa Cricket Association and is scheduled to be held from March 21 to April 17, 2026. Matches will be played across multiple venues including the GCA Ground Porvorim, GCA Ground Sanguem, Gymkhana Ground Panaji, Napex Ground Sanquelim and SAG Ground Chicalim.

The event was graced by Mahesh Dessai, President of the Goa Cricket Association, and Tulshidas Shetye, Secretary of the association. They appreciated the efforts of the participating clubs and players while reaffirming the association’s commitment to promoting competitive and high-quality cricket in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahesh Dessai said, “The Goa Premier Division League is an important platform for our talented cricketers to compete at a high level. Through this league, we aim to strengthen the cricketing structure in Goa and provide opportunities for players to showcase their abilities and progress to higher levels of the game.”

The upcoming league is expected to provide an excellent platform for talented cricketers across Goa to showcase their skills and further strengthen the cricketing ecosystem in the state.
