CD Fountainhead, Dempo Challengers register wins

In the GSB Unity Cup 3.0 tournament organized by the Goa GSB Sports and Charitable Trust, CD Fountainhead defeated Priority Titans by 52 runs, while Dempo Challengers overcame Sinq Rangers by 5 wickets on Saturday. Both matches were played at the MCC Ground in Margao.

In the first match of the day, CD Fountainhead posted a strong total of 216/6 in 20 overs. They then bowled out Priority Titans for 164 in 19 overs to secure a convincing victory. For the winners, Vikrant Prabhu played a blistering knock of 51 runs off just 20 balls, smashing 4 fours and 4 sixes. Atchut Naik Dalal contributed 48 runs.

For Priority Titans, Anish Mahambre (37) and Amit Kamat (unbeaten 31) put up a good fight with the bat. Vikrant Prabhu also excelled with the ball, claiming 5 wickets for 23 runs.

In the second match, Sinq Rangers managed 153/8 in their 20 overs. Dempo Challengers successfully chased down the target, scoring 154/5 in 19.5 overs to clinch the win.

For Sinq Rangers, Sahil Adwalpalkar (42), Mehank Dharwadkar (34), and Samrudh Bharne (31) made useful contributions, but they failed to post a more challenging total. For Dempo, Sumiran Amonkar and Shridhar Keni picked up two wickets each.

While chasing, Dempo were struggling at 47/3. However, a crucial partnership between Samar Dubhashi (52) and captain Aditya Angle (unbeaten 44) guided the team to victory. For Sinq Rangers, Sairaj Dhond was the most successful bowler with 2 wickets.

Vikrant Prabhu was awarded the Desserts N More Player of the Match, while Aditya Prabhugaonkar received the Kamat Realty Hero of the Match award from Kapil Nayak and Amod Tendulkar.
