An 11-member Indian contingent of the Combat Kickboxing Pro Organization (CKB PRO), including seven athletes from Goa, will represent the country at the International Kickboxing and Boxing Championship 2026 to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from June 26 to 29.

The prestigious championship is being organised by the International Sport Kickboxing Association (ISKA) Indonesia and is sanctioned by the ISKA World Body. The event is regarded as one of the leading international kickboxing and boxing competitions, with athletes earning valuable international ranking points based on their performances.

CKB PRO received a special invitation from ISKA Indonesia to participate in the tournament. The Indian team comprises seven junior and sub-junior athletes and four senior competitors from Goa, Punjab, Delhi and Haryana.

The Goa athletes selected for the championship are Ahd Mulla, Arush Shinde, Tauseef Sheikh, Keith Sebastian, Ethan Sebastian, Avnish Shinde and Ansh Padake. The senior athletes representing India are Suraj Singh of Delhi, Mohit Rajput of Haryana, and Gurpreet Singh and Ravinder Singh of Punjab.

The entire contingent has been training intensively for several months under the guidance of coach Hussain Mulla, who will also serve as the head of delegation during the championship.

A special recognition has been extended to Ethan Sebastian, a young athlete and special child, whose travel and participation expenses, along with those of one parent, have been sponsored by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. The gesture has been welcomed by the organisation as a significant boost for inclusive participation in sports and encouragement for young talent.

The Goa-based athletes will depart from Manohar International Airport, Mopa, on June 24 and are scheduled to return on July 1 after the completion of the championship.

CKB PRO General Secretary Mehrun Shaikh thanked parents, sponsors and supporters for backing the athletes in their preparation for the international event. Vice President Liby Mendonca expressed confidence in the team's abilities, stating that the athletes had trained tirelessly and were determined to perform with discipline, dedication and sportsmanship while representing India on the global stage.
