It is pertinent to note that the US Intelligence Chief, Tulsi Gabbard on October 31, 2025 stated that the United States under President Donald Trump was not any more going for regime change. On January 3, 2026, Venezuela was invaded and President Nicolas Maduro was captured and flown to the US. On February 28, 2026 Iran was attacked by Israel and United States in what was again a regime change attempt. It may be recalled that in 2003, Iraq was invaded after what the CIA indicated falsely that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction such as nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. Then in a Security Council meet the then Secretary of State Colin Powell was shown brandishing a vial supposedly a biological weapon that Iraq had and that was not true, as later the world came to know. Now, Joe Kent, the Director of US' National Counter-Terrorism Center resigned citing that he `cannot in good conscience' accept the invasion of Iran as the US was pressurized by Israel to attack Iran. Considering these facts, it goes to show that US-Israel attack on Iran was not justified.
