This is to put on record the extreme electricity voltage fluctuations faced on May 14 and 15 in Matol ward, Verna, coming under Sec 3 Sub Div 14, which damaged many of my household appliances. I feel the lethargic attitude of the electricity department engineers and field staff is the cause for these losses. Even after the so-called maintenance shutdowns, the residents have to still bear this trauma. I have made repeated calls to the section office, but they just come and do a superficial check rather than finding the actual fault. My small TV got burnt, but due to Divine Providence my big LED TV was saved because it was switched off. If the department does not make up for my loss, I will be left with no option but to approach the consumer forum.
