Let's protect our planet for future generations

This is with reference to the report, "Rain brings relief to Goa, but humidity causing misery - Goan Everyday - May 19, 2026." This is what we have brought upon ourselves, rain bringing temporary relief but humidity causing misery. If this is what we want, then this is what we'll get. After this spell of rains, the rains will take a long break causing further misery. We have been playing with Nature for quite some time now by cutting down trees, destroying wetlands, turning rivers into nullahs, destroying mangroves and forests. Nature will play her game as long as we play games. Needless to say, we need to stop ecological destruction. And this applies to other cities like Mumbai and the rest of the country as well. The Earth is the only living planet we have, let's protect it for future generations. Is that too much to expect?
