India logs 64% rain deficit: Time for introspection

This is with reference to the reports :"Anjumen dam at just 10 per cent….India records 64 per cent rain deficit - Goan Everyday - June 16,  2026." That is indeed a scary scenario. Not just in Goa but the rest of the country as well.  We are in for one of the most difficult times. Imagine life without water. According to the IMD, India records 64 per cent rain deficit. So, what are we doing about it? It's time for some introspection. Are we going to just pray for good rains as we mostly do at such times? We need to understand ‘prayer without deeds is meaningless!’. We continue to cut down our rain forests, continue to reclaim wetlands, contaminate our rivers….. Nature speaks with us in so many ways. Listen...
