Goa is facing a severe water crisis driven by BJP Goa government mismanagement, failures including high levels of corruption, pollution, over-extraction; despite abundant rainfall and natural water resources. Reservoir levels have dropped significantly, forcing reliance on water tankers in several areas. Urban areas such as Porvorim and Taleigao face frequent disruptions, compounded by aging pipelines and leakages, with 40% of treated water lost before reaching consumers.   And now Goa Govt has woken up to the threat “too little too late”.
