The sudden demise of Dr Ketan Bhatikar has cast a deep shadow over Goa’s political and social landscape. His passing has left not only his family and close associates grief-stricken, but also countless Goans shocked and saddened by the loss of a young leader who had only recently stepped into public life with hope, conviction, and promise. Dr Bhatikar was known first as a dedicated physiotherapist who earned the trust and respect of people through his service and compassion. His decision to enter politics reflected a larger desire to contribute to society beyond his profession.

His death is difficult to comprehend because it reminds us of the unpredictability of life. It is in such moments that people turn to faith, believing that only God knows the greater purpose behind life and death. Many in Goa saw in Dr Bhatikar the possibility of a bright political future. Though his political journey had only begun, he had already managed to leave an impression on the minds of many. The loss of a young individual with dreams yet to be fulfilled creates a collective sense of sorrow. Om Shanti. May the departed soul of Dr Ketan Bhatikar rest in eternal peace.
