It’s highly disappointing to see various complaints of irregularities or illegalities in constructions are being ignored by the Benaulim Panchayat for many weeks. It appears to me that panchas at Benaulim are compromised by the erring builders. I request the concerned Benaulim villagers who are filing complaints not to rely on the Benaulim Panchayat. If no action is taken in a week's time the matter should be immediately escalated to the BDO, DOP and even legally, before the courts of law. Also at the next Gram Sabha, villagers must gather in large numbers and challenge all the panchas.
