Night-vision AI CCTV cameras planned at key junctions

Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho said the transport department plans to install night-vision, AI-enabled CCTV cameras at key junctions across the State.
He said the project has already been tendered. Around 25 cameras are expected to become operational soon, while another 50 will be activated within two months. Godinho said the cameras will be monitored through a centralised command centre.
The move aims to curb over-speeding, reduce accidents, and keep a check on criminal activities.
