The Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITE&C) has received more than 700 registrations from across the country for the two-day ‘Goa Shackathon’ scheduled at Baga Beach on May 21-22, while 300 participants have been shortlisted for the event.
A department official stated that registrations came from startups, innovators, creators, designers, remote professionals, students and members of the creative economy for the government event converting beach shacks into collaborative workspaces.
“The initiative is designed to create an interactive environment for participants to collaborate and exchange ideas while highlighting evolving workplace trends,” IT Minister Rohan Khaunte said.
The first day of the event, themed ‘Hustle and High Tides’, will focus on startups, founders, IT professionals and academia, featuring discussions on artificial intelligence, robotics, communication, storytelling and entrepreneurship. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Khaunte are expected to attend.
The second day, themed ‘Creators and Coastlines’, will centre on creators, designers, freelancers, students and media professionals, with sessions on AI-driven design, creativity and communication, alongside networking activities and interactive engagements.
