CANACONA
A 36-year-old motorcycle rider from Gadag-Karnataka died in a road mishap along the Agonda road at Dumane-Canacona late Friday night in Canacona.
According to Canacona police, the mishap took place as Suresh Lamani was riding his motorcycle towards Canacona, when he lost control of the motorcycle and the vehicle rammed into a roadside cashew tree at Dumane.
Lamani sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to the Canacona Community Health Centre, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Police later sent the body for an autopsy at the South Goa District Hospital at Margao, before handing over the body to family members for final rites on Saturday.
Canaocna police registered a case of unnatural death and Canacona PSI Ramdas Doifode conducted the investigation.
