Belagavi electrician electrocuted at Arpora

A 24-year-old electrician from Belagavi was electrocuted while working on electrical lighting for an award ceremony at a hotel in Arpora in the wee hours of Wednesday.
According to reports, a company had organised an award ceremony at the hotel and lighting and illumination for the ceremony was undertaken by a company from Kolhapur.
Aniket Maruti Patil, along with other workers of the Kolhapur company, had come to the spot.
The award ceremony was scheduled to begin at 10 am on Wednesday and Patil along with other workers had been at the site since midnight to install LED lights and to connect other electrical equipment required for the ceremony.
While working to install the lights, Patil suddenly received an electric shock and fell unconscious on the ground. He was immediately rushed to the Mapusa District Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Anjuna PSI Navneet Goltekar has conducted a panchnama of the incident and Anjuna police are conducting further investigations.
