Teja Naik wins Loliem-Polem   panchayat Ward 8 by-poll Canacona Mamlatdar and Returning Officer Gajesh Shirodkar while handing over the certificate of election to Teja Naik.

CANACONA

Teja Naik has won the by-election for Pedem Ward 8 of Loliem-Polem village panchayat. The post had fallen vacant after Ajay (Ajit) Lolienkar had won the ZP (Poinguinim) election on BJP ticket.


Naik, who polled 107 votes, won by 7 votes defeating her nearest rival Wayne George Martins who could poll 100 votes, while Raimundo Joso Vencente De Souza was placed a distant third place with 28 votes.

Naik was reportedly fielded by the ruling panel of Loliem“Polem panchayat for Pedem ward.

Canacona Mamlatdar Gajesh Shirodkar was the Returning Officer and Rohidas Gaonkar, the Assistant Returning Officer for by-polls of Pedem (ward VIII) of Loliem-Polem VP.

Shirodkar declared Teja Naik as the winner of the by-elections and later handed over the certificate of election to her.
