Minor boy assaulted in late-night road rage incident at Borda

Fatorda police station again came under the lens past midnight after a minor boy was allegedly assaulted by four persons in a case of road rage.

Fatorda police informed that the incident took place at around 1.50 am on Tuesday near a beauty parlour at Borda when the accused ” Mayuraj Mhamal, a resident of Seraulim, and Joyriel Luis, Neslino Da Silva and Malrizz Rodrigues, all residents of Curtorim ” who were riders and pillion riders on two-wheelers, allegedly chased, forcibly stopped and wrongfully restrained a Swift car, abused its occupants and broke the driver-side window glass of the vehicle.

Police further alleged that the accused pulled the minor boy out of the vehicle and assaulted him with slaps and fist blows on his face and right wrist, causing simple injuries. They also allegedly threatened him with dire consequences.

When questioned whether any action would be initiated against the minor boy for driving the car without a licence, police said appropriate action would be initiated as per law.
