According to official sources, the main pipeline running along the roadside to Maus village suddenly ruptured, causing large volumes of water to gush onto the road. Thousands of litres of water were reportedly wasted before the situation could be brought under control.
The incident triggered a swift response from the water supply department. Upon receiving information, officials and staff rushed to the site and initiated repair work on a war footing. After nearly three hours of continuous efforts, the damaged pipeline was repaired by around noon, stopping further leakage.
The disruption impacted water supply to Maus and Dabe Zarme villages, with several residents reporting low water pressure during the period.
Officials attributed the incident to the sudden bursting of the pipeline but assured that prompt action was taken to resolve the issue. They confirmed that repairs have been completed and water supply has since been restored to normal.
