Air India and Air India Express have announced major cuts in Goa flight operations as part of their June 26 network overhaul, impacting connectivity to both Goa airports.

Air India Express has reduced flight capacity to Manohar International Airport, with Delhi“Goa services cut from 21 to 14 weekly flights. The airline has also dropped its earlier plan to double Hyderabad“Goa flights from seven to 14 per week amid wider operational reductions across key airports.

Meanwhile, Goa’s air connectivity has taken another blow after Air India significantly reduced operations on the busy Mumbai“Goa Dabolim sector. The airline has reportedly withdrawn 13 weekly frequencies on the Mumbai“Goa route, while Delhi“Mopa services have also been scaled down, including the withdrawal of one service entirely.

Airlines have attributed the reductions to rising aviation turbine fuel prices, longer flight routes caused by the ongoing West Asia crisis, and broader network restructuring measures.

Earlier this year, IndiGo had also suspended six city routes from Goa effective March 29, 2026, citing operational constraints. The move reduced 32 weekly flight operations from Goa.

The affected IndiGo routes included flights from Mopa to Surat, Bhubaneswar, Rajkot, Vadodara, and Chandigarh, along with the Bhopal“Goa International Airport route.
