Assonora Bypass 70% complete, says CM Chief Minister Pramod Sawant while inspecting work on the Assonora bypass.

Stating that about 70% of the Rs 165 crore four-lane Assonora bypass is now complete, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday directed officials to expedite work without compromising on quality.

Speaking after inspecting the ongoing work of the Assonora bypass, Sawant laid special emphasis on eliminating bottlenecks along the route. He directed that such stretches be widened into four lanes. He also instructed officials to ensure strong and high-quality construction of minor bridges and related infrastructure.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister issued clear instructions to the concerned officials to maintain high construction quality and ensure that the remaining work is completed at the earliest.

“The quality of work must not be compromised under any circumstances, and the administration must further accelerate efforts to ensure timely completion,” he asserted.

The chief minister stated that once the Assonora bypass is completed, severe traffic congestion in the area will be significantly reduced.

“People will benefit from faster and safer travel. This project will not only improve traffic flow but also contribute to the overall development of the taluka,” said Sawant.

The Assonora bypass project is expected to ease traffic pressure in the region and emerge as a major relief for commuters, marking an important step in local development.
