Arihant Hospital, Belagavi, marked a major step forward in digestive and liver healthcare with the inauguration of its state-of-the-art AI-enabled FibroScan facility and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the renowned AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad.

Leading gastroenterologist and Chairman of AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad, Dr Nageshwar Reddy, formally inaugurated the advanced FibroScan facility and participated in the exchange of the MoU between the two healthcare institutions.

The collaboration between Arihant Hospital and AIG Hospitals aims to promote academic excellence, clinical knowledge sharing, professional interaction and coordinated patient care in the fields of gastroenterology, hepatology and gastrointestinal endoscopy. Under the agreement, both institutions will jointly organise Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes, scientific exchanges, multidisciplinary case discussions, training programmes and other professional development activities.

A key highlight of the event was the launch of the advanced AI-powered FibroScan system, which strengthens Arihant Hospital’s diagnostic services. The technology provides a quick, painless and non-invasive way to assess liver fibrosis and fatty liver disease, helping doctors detect liver problems early and improve treatment outcomes for patients with chronic liver conditions.

Speaking on the occasion, the management of Arihant Hospital highlighted the growing importance of partnerships between healthcare institutions in improving the quality and accessibility of medical services. They said the association with AIG Hospitals reflects a shared commitment to excellence in patient care, medical education, innovation and research.

Dr Nageshwar Reddy praised Arihant Hospital’s efforts to strengthen gastroenterology and hepatology services in the region. He emphasised the importance of such collaborations in improving healthcare delivery, advancing medical knowledge and ensuring better outcomes for patients.

The inauguration of the AI-enabled FibroScan facility and the signing of the MoU mark an important step towards strengthening specialised digestive and liver healthcare services for the people of Belagavi and the wider North Karnataka and Goa region.

Arihant Hospital remains committed to providing comprehensive, ethical and patient-centred healthcare services, with a special focus on gastroenterology, hepatology, endoscopy and advanced diagnostic care, said Dr M D Dixit.
