4 injured in road accident at Karmalghat

Four persons were injured when a private bus and an Omni van collided at the accident-prone stretch of the NH66 highway at Karmalghat on Wednesday morning.
The private bus was travelling from Margao and was climbing the Karmalghat stretch towards Canacona, while the Karnataka-registered Omni van was coming down the ghat towards Margao when the collision occurred. The driver and two women passengers in the van, along with one passenger travelling in the Canacona-bound bus, sustained injuries in the accident.
The three injured persons from the van were shifted to the South Goa District Hospital in Margao for treatment, while the injured bus passenger received treatment in Canacona.
