Betalbatim student gets memorial award

MARGAO: Saniel Blaise Antao of Loyola High School scored 93.16 per cent in the SSC examination conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in 2026.

Saniel, a resident of Nagvaddo, Betalbatim, received the Eng. Francis Bomdin Lopes Memorial Award from PC Trust. The award included a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and a citation.

He is the son of Floriano Antao and Seema Antao. PC Trust Chairman Nelson Lopes congratulated him on his achievement.

Missing minor girl traced by Margao Police

MARGAO: Margao police have traced a minor girl from the Haliyal Police Station jurisdiction who had gone missing from her native village. During the investigation, the girl was traced within the jurisdiction of Margao Town Police Station by PSI Shubham. She was later safely handed over to the staff of Haliyal Police Station so that she could be reunited with her family.
