Play explores fading family dialogue

PONDA: A stage performance of Sukhashi Bhandto Aamhi at Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir highlighted the growing loss of family dialogue and inner peace in modern society. Written by Abhiram Bhadkamkar and directed by Avinash Chari of the Kala Academy School of Drama, the play explored the pressures faced by middle-class families in the pursuit of material happiness.

The production balanced emotional tension with lighter moments, keeping the audience engaged throughout. College students delivered mature and natural performances, effectively portraying conflicts and emotional struggles within a household. The set design, lighting and background score complemented the production, earning appreciation for the cast and crew’s overall presentation.
