U-18 player Roydon passes away

MARGAO: The Goan football community is in mourning following the untimely death of young footballer Roydon Giggs Noronha, a member of the Guardian Angel Sports Club U-18 team.

Roydon, who hailed from Paroda village, was remembered as a promising talent by teammates, former players, and officials alike.

Guardian Angel SC expressed their condolences on social media, while President Johncy Fernandes said, “His untimely departure is a great loss to the football family. May the Almighty bless his soul with eternal peace and give strength to his family.”

Senior vice president of the Goa Football Association, Anthony Pango, also expressed his sorrow, stating he was deeply saddened and praying for Roydon’s soul to rest in peace.
