Sinq Rangers, Progressive Ponda keep knockout hopes alive

Sinq Rangers and Progressive Ponda kept their hopes alive of making it to the knockouts with convincing Wins on Day 13 of Sarsangan Priority Super Series 2026, at Arlem cricket ground.

Sinq Rangers produced a clinical performance to defeat MLT Cricket Club by 5 wickets. Opting to bat first, MLT Cricket Club recovered after early setbacks to post a competitive total of 189/8 in their 20 overs. Sachin Sardessai (35) and Nityay Kuncolienkar (35) anchored the innings, while Gaurav Gaitonde contributed with a handy 20. Megh Netravalkar and Granthik Buyao were the standout performers with the ball, claiming two wickets each, while Mahendra Audi and Sukrut Pai chipped in with one apiece.

In response, Sinq Rangers chased down the target with confidence, reaching 193/5 in just 18.1 overs. Captain Sairaj Dhond led from the front with a brisk 40 off 19 balls, supported effectively by Sahil Adwalpalkar (34), Granthik Buyao (36), and Rajaram Kundaikar (21). Rajat Dalal was the pick of the bowlers for MLT Cricket Club with figures of 2/22, while Gaurav Gaitonde and Akshay Dalvi picked up a wicket each. Granthik Buyao was adjudged the Drogaria Colvalcar Man of the Match for his all-round performance. Other award winners included Sairaj Dhond (Best Batter), Rajat Dalal (Best Bowler), Nityay Kuncolienkar (Super Striker), and Megh Netravalkar (Impact Player).

In the second encounter, Progressive Ponda delivered a dominant all-round performance to defeat Desserts n More Avengers by 28 runs in a high-scoring match. Batting first, Progressive Ponda posted an imposing 201/7 in 20 overs. Pratham Kossambe (36), Vipul Desprabhu (23), and Ved Mahambre (19) made useful contributions, but it was Samrudh Hegde Desai’s explosive unbeaten 53 off 27 balls (4 fours and 4 sixes) that powered the team to a formidable total. Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar led the bowling effort for DnM Avengers with two wickets, while Siddhesh Bodke, Gururaj Bale, Sagar Salgaocar, Smit Dalvi, and Anant Prabhugaunkar took one wicket each.

Chasing 202, DnM Avengers had a shaky start, losing three wickets for just 26 runs. A recovery effort led by Smit Dalvi (28) and Sagar Salgaocar (30) steadied the innings. Despite valiant contributions from Gururaj Bale (18) and an unbeaten 52 from Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar, DnM Avengers fell short, finishing at 179/8 in their 20 overs. Avinash Kossambe starred with the ball for Progressive Ponda, claiming 3/19, while Atrinandan Kurade took two wickets. Vipul Desprabhu, Ved Mahambrey, Gomakant Mahambrey, and Pratham Kossambe chipped in with one wicket each.

Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar was named the Drogaria Colvalcar Man of the Match for his impressive all-round performance. Other award winners included Samrudh Hegde Desai (Best Batter), Avinash Kossambe (Best Bowler), Ved Mahambrey (Super Striker), and Vipul Deshprabhu (Impact Player). With these results, both Sinq Rangers and Progressive Ponda have kept their chances of progressing to the knockout stages alive, setting up an exciting finish to the league phase of the tournament.
