Paradeep Phosphates supports Ave Maria football training programme

With the aim of promoting the development of young footballers, a football training tie-up between Ave Maria Athletic & Walkers Club and Paradeep Phosphates Limited, Zuarinagar, Goa, was launched on Monday at the St. John the Baptist Church ground in Benaulim. The initiative was inaugurated by the Chief Manufacturing Officer and Unit Head of Paradeep Phosphates Ltd, Goa.

Earlier, Parish Priest of St. John the Baptist Church, Benaulim, Fr. Xavier Estiberio offered prayers for the club and blessed the new jerseys, which were later officially released by the CMO of Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.

During the programme, Club President Antonio Mascarenhas was felicitated by Paradeep Phosphates Ltd in recognition of his remarkable and selfless service of over 25 years, dedicated to protecting, nurturing and empowering vulnerable children through sports.

Former GFA President and founder Ex-Member Secretary of the Goa Football Development Council, Elvis Gomes, attended the event as the Guest of Honour. Addressing the young trainees, Gomes encouraged them to remain focused and determined in their pursuit of representing the national team, stating that such achievements would bring true satisfaction to the club. He also praised the club for the sacrifices made to sustain its activities and thanked Paradeep Phosphates Ltd for adopting the club under its CSR initiative.

Also present at the event were Paradeep Phosphates’ GM“HR Anand Rajadhyaksha and GM“Commercial & Logistics Elias Vaz. Vaz urged the young trainees to develop strong team spirit, emphasising that it is an essential quality not only in sports but also in the workplace.

The programme was coordinated by Digambar Tendulkar, Deputy General Manager “ CSR of Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.
