MARGAO
Nivian Vipers will take on GCC Paddlers, while Smash and Dash will clash with Uniqlo Warriors in the semi-finals of the Saxtti UTTTC (Ultimate Table Tennis Team Championship) held at Gomant Vidhya Niketan, Margao.
The eight-team league, played across two groups, featured Kiran Titans, Nopex Ninjas, Goa Superkings and Sameer Spinners as the other competing teams. The championship delivered exciting and competitive table tennis in the league stages, with players from different age groups sharing the same stage, making it a unique and engaging format.
The semi-finalists are led by Sachin Soares (Nivian Vipers), Amit Naik (GCC Paddlers), Niraj Kannure (Smash and Dash) and Sandeep D’Mello (Uniqlo Warriors). The league witnessed participation from several prominent Goa paddlers including Wesley Do Rosario, Chandan Caro, Ishita Colaco, Anushri Naik, Samaira Soares, Dhruva Kamat, Pradnya Caro and Shantesh Mapsekar.
Organised by the Saxtti Sports and Cultural Club, the tournament was earlier inaugurated by Sudin Verenkar, President of GTTA, along with Yogiraj Kamat, President of the Goa Swimming Association, Dr Brennan Tavares, Host President, Ulhas Raikar, Special Guest, and Dinesh Sinari, President of the Veterans Table Tennis Association, among other club members.
