Govt College Borda, Don Bosco College register wins

Govt. College of Commerce & Economics, Borda, Margao and Don Bosco College, Panjim advanced to the semifinals with convincing victories in the quarterfinals on the 19th day of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Men Championship 2025-26.

GC Borda defeated Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law, Margao by 107 runs, while Don Bosco College secured an 8-wicket win over VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao.

In the first match, GC Borda won the toss and elected to bat, posting 187/7 in 20 overs, with Bansil Pandya scoring 50 off 28 balls and Moh Huz contributing 43 off 21. GR Kare Law were bowled out for 80 in 14.3 overs, with Moh Huz picking up 5 wickets for 4 runs. Moh Huz was named All-Rounder of the match, and Bansil Pandya was recognized as the top batter.

In the second quarterfinal, Don Bosco College chose to bowl first, dismissing Shree Damodar College for 157 in 20 overs, with Anuresh K taking 3/28. Don Bosco chased the target comfortably, scoring 158/2 in 19 overs. Ajay Raj led the innings with 55 runs, Aman Kambli added 41, and Yogesh Kauthankar contributed 40. The standout performers were Yogesh Kauthankar (All-Rounder), Ajay Raj (Batter), and Anuresh K (Bowler).
