MARGAO: Hosts Goa Velha Sports Club secured a 1“0 victory over St. Anthony's Club, Colva to advance to the quarterfinals of the 18th London Trophy Inter-Village Football Tournament 2026, organised by Goa Velha Sports Club and sponsored by the Goan community in the United Kingdom.
The solitary goal came midway through the second half when Atish Sawant struck past the Colva goalkeeper.
Samson Gomes of St. Anthony’s Club was cautioned for dissent by words by match referee Yeshwant Parab.
