Goa team marks 45 years since 1981 win

The Goa State football team came together to celebrate the 45th anniversary of their historic victory at the National Football Championship held in Cochin in 1981. The event featured Dr. Caitano Fernandes, President of the GFA, as the Chief Guest, while senior journalist Marcus Mergulhao attended as the Guest of Honour.

The reception took place at Solar dos Colacos in Ribandar. Along with the team members and their families, the gathering was also attended by former GFA General Secretary Antonio Botelho, team manager Rene Costa, the widow of coach Visitacao Lobo, and several other well-wishers.
