Dempo College, VP Mandre College register wins

Dempo Charities Trust’s Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College of Commerce & Economics, Cujira defeated P.E.S’s Ravi S. Naik College of Arts & Science, Farmagudi by 75 runs, while VP’s Mandre College of Commerce, Economics and Management, Pernem beat Goa College of Agriculture by four wickets on Day 8 of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Men’s Championship 2025-26.

In the first match, Dempo College, after winning the toss and electing to bat, posted a strong 198/6 in 20 overs. Aryan Mashelkar top-scored with 82 off 46 balls, while Ishan Singh contributed 50 off 31. Lakshadeep picked up 2/43 for Ravi Naik College.

Chasing 199, Ravi Naik College were restricted to 123/9 in their 20 overs despite Lakshadeep’s quick 21 off 12 balls. Yash Manjrekar starred with the ball, claiming 3/25, while Ishan Singh added 2/5 to help Dempo College secure a comfortable win. Aryan Mashelkar was named top batter, Yash Manjrekar the top bowler and Ishan Singh the best all-rounder.

In the second match, Goa College of Agriculture, after winning the toss, elected to bat but were bowled out for 91 in 18.3 overs. Nityay Kunkolienkar scored 27 off 15 balls. Shivprasad Tulaskar led the bowling with 4/20, while Devesh Salgaonkar claimed 2/9.

Mandre College chased down the target in quick time, reaching 93/6 in just 8.1 overs. Atharv Chandure played a match-winning knock of 55 off 24 balls, while Akhshay Hiremath picked up 2/40. Chandure was named the top performer of the match.
