Oxford CC Goa chase with ease for third win

In a league match of the Lt. Rajan Bhai Angane Under-16 Memorial Cup, Oxford Cricket Club, Goa registered a convincing five-wicket win over P.C.S.A. Panvel on Wednesday. In the match played at Boarding Ground, Malvan, Oxford chased down the target of 155 runs in 26 overs. The tournament is being organised by Aim Cricket Academy, Sawantwadi.

Batting first, P.C.S.A. Panvel were all out for 154 in 34.3 overs. Advik Zine (27) and Aryan Kale (22) offered some resistance with the bat. For Oxford, Mubarak Tadapatri claimed four wickets, while Harsh Nain and Farhan Shaikh took three wickets each.

Chasing 155, Oxford had a shaky start. However, Yug Yadav (30) and captain Tanishq Naik steadied the innings. Tanishq Naik scored a composed 59, while Farhan Shaikh played a crucial, unbeaten knock of 40 to guide the team to victory. Parth Sankpal remained not out on 11 to provide the finishing touch. With this win, Oxford Cricket Club Goa maintained its dominance in the tournament. This was their third win in four matches. Farhan Shaikh, who took three wickets and scored an unbeaten 40, was named Player of the Match.
