MCC, Kreeda Prabhodini win big

Margao Cricket Club (MCC) and Kreeda Prabhodini registered convincing victories in their respective matches to top their groups and advance further in the tournament.

In the morning fixture, MCC defeated AK Rangers by nine wickets after a dominant all-round performance. Opting to field first after winning the toss, MCC restricted AK Rangers to 88/6 in 20 overs. Rishikesh Khandekar top-scored with 32, while Arjun Guinde remained unbeaten on 11. Kanish Dessai starred with the ball for MCC, claiming 2 wickets for 15 runs.

In reply, MCC comfortably chased down the target, scoring 92/1 in just 14.1 overs. Jonas Pereira remained unbeaten on 39, while Udhav Naik contributed an unbeaten 27. Shlok Borkar picked up the lone wicket for AK Rangers. MCC sealed the match by nine wickets, with Jonas Pereira being named Player of the Match.

In the afternoon encounter, Kreeda Prabhodini outclassed Star Cricket Academy by 58 runs. After being put in to bat, Kreeda Prabhodini posted a strong total of 163/5 in 20 overs, powered by an unbeaten 70 from Pooja Kaleel and 20 from Dhruv Rathod. Ayush Raiker was the pick of the bowlers for Star Cricket Academy with figures of 2/31.

Chasing 164, Star Cricket Academy managed 105/4 in their allotted 20 overs. Atharv Parker remained unbeaten on 26, while Ratik added an unbeaten 31. Raghav Veer Singh impressed with the ball for Kreeda Prabhodini, taking 2 wickets for 23 runs. Kreeda Prabhodini clinched a comprehensive 58-run victory, and Pooja Kaleel was adjudged Player of the Match.
