End religious mudslinging on social media in Goa

The heated atmosphere on social media between practitioners of the Christian and Hindu communities in Goa is deeply concerning. I write to request all sides to stop the mudslinging. Everyone follows a particular religion based largely on the family they are born into. The real purpose of following a religion is to practice the principles and moral values that the faith founders taught. These founders and spiritual guides helped us understand the meaning of life by teaching modesty, truth, peace, and harmony. We should follow those teachings without getting influenced by people who are neither founders nor preachers. If a person like Gautam is neither a founder nor a preacher, and a legal case against him is already underway, then why are we creating unrest by dragging the names of faith founders and preachers into internet arguments?  The true measure is how sincerely we follow the principles of compassion, tolerance, and respect that every faith upholds. I urge all Goans, and social media users at large, to rise above this cycle of provocation. Let Goa remain an example of communal harmony, as it has been for centuries.
