Blatant destruction of Goa

It appears that the present government is determined to destroy Goa’s ecosystem and sell off the State. Despite assurances that the Delta Corp 2,000-passenger vessel would not enter the Mandovi River, plans now seem to be moving in that direction. How can a company be allowed to replace a 70-passenger vessel with one that can carry 2,000 passengers ” an almost 30-fold increase? Will the authorities once again ignore limits and bend the rules until another disaster takes place?

The infamous 112-metre-long casino ship is in Goan waters already, docked at berth no. 4, Mormugao Port. The CM says that it won’t be allowed to ‘enter’ the Mandovi (the river he calls his mother), while the court says it won’t be allowed to operate till all clearances are in place.
