Tourist dies in boat capsize off Anjuna beach; operator held

Anjuna Police have arrested a boat operator in connection with the death of a tourist after a banana ride floater carrying 6 persons capsized at Anjuna Beach on March 11, resulting in the death of Rajni Sunil Indoliya (36) from Morena, Madhya Pradesh. Police said the accused, Domnic Jack D’Souza (55) of Anjuna, allegedly illegally operated the boat without adhering to prescribed safety norms. 

Six customers were taken on the banana ride floater connected to the boat. The boat, operated by Shivaji Lamani (36), was allegedly driven in a rash and negligent manner, causing the floater to capsize and all six riders to fall into the sea.
