PANAJI: AAP leader Atishi has alleged that the BJP was misusing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to target her party in Goa, as its support base expands in the state.

Reacting to ED searches linked to AAP Goa co-incharge Deepak Singla today, Atishi said, “With Aam Aadmi Party’s popularity growing in Goa, BJP’s loyal foot-soldier, ED has been sent here as well.”

She said raids were carried out early in the day at Singla’s residence as well as at the homes of some AAP volunteers in Goa. According to her, the action was intended to pressure party workers and gain access to internal organisational details. “Not only is this an attempt to scare our volunteers, but also to acquire all our organisational data for the BJP,” she alleged.

Singla, a Delhi-based AAP leader who had earlier contested the Vishwas Nagar Assembly seat, was also raided by the ED in 2024 in connection with a previous case.

Meanwhile, ED officials said searches were conducted at premises linked to Singla and others in Delhi and Goa in connection with an alleged bank loan fraud-linked money laundering investigation. Officials added that the operation covered multiple locations as part of the ongoing probe
