Orphanage manager booked for assaulting minor

MARGAO: The Colva police have registered an FIR against the manager of an orphanage for allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old boy. In his complaint, Sagar Kumar, a resident of Navelim, alleged that his 15-year-old son, who resides at the orphanage, was beaten with a belt, causing him injuries. The police have registered a case under Section 115(2) of the BNS, 2023, and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
